Situated in the school foyer is the bust and inscription dedicated to Mr. Chan Sui Ki, an esteemed businessman who always sought to help the needy.
After his death, the members of his family, wishing that their father be commemorated by a suitable memorial, decided to have a school built dedicated to him.
The family approached the La Salle Brothers in April 1967 and the Brothers were happy to accept the offer. Perhaps Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College would never have got off the ground without the generous offer of the Chan family.
