Seldom can so many stout trees be seen in a
school in Hong Kong. De La Salle Secondary School is one of
the exceptions. Here not only the path stretching from the
main entrance of the school to the old wing but also the back
gardens are tree-lined. What is more, fallen leaves and their
rustling sounds are frequently seen and heard in the school
premises.
These trees are mostly over thirty years old and are of diverse species,
such as palms, pines, camphor trees and cotton trees. Together with
the flowers, they refresh and energize the ambience of the school.
