The La Salle College Chinese Orchestra toured Melbourne Australia from August 11-16. Their stay included a day at De La Salle College, Malvern, Melbourne, where they gave a performance and an explanation of the instruments followed by a campus tour and lunch provided by their hosts. The Melbourne tour also included visits to scenic sites such as the Philip Island Penguins, gold mining in the Dandenongs, the Lion Safari Park, Southern coast, Parliament buildings, Victoria Station, the eternal flame at the tomb for the unknown soldier, and a tour of Monash and Melbourne Universities. The Chinese Orchestra also performed alongside the Siu Fung Chinese Orchestra of Melbourne and Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School.
