Lasallian Foundation Grants: The Lasallian Foundation has notified Visitors/President of funding approved for various projects in the Region. “One of the little known achievements of the Lasallian Foundation has been its success in attracting funding by making submissions especially for very significant sums to other Funding Agencies. The most recent example has been the result of the May meeting of the Foundation in which it received reports of grants made in excess of $AUD 1.307,000.In this sum are included $515,000 (mostly for Sri Lanka) from Misean Cara, an Irish funding body, $AUD 23,129 (also for Sri Lanka) from Porticus a Hong Kong based Family trust, $AUD127,000 for projects at Kondiu, P.N.G., almost $AUD,7000 from Persephone, a private benefactor.Sri Lanka benefited overall from $AUD 652, 516 from the Foundation, Pakistan by $AUD162,000, P.N.G. $AUD 425,000 (the bulk to Kondiu) and India by $AUD 42,000.None of this would have been possible without the Foundation forming strategic links with the Institute ONLUS.It’s all a great achievement. “(Courtesy of “In the Loop”; ANZPPNG). PARC appreciates the work of the Lasallian Foundation and thanks Bro Paul Smith, Miranda Chow, staff and the Board.
