Vision

"When there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18)

"Vision without action is a daydream,
Action without vision is a nightmare." (Japanese proverb)

The vision of our Lasallian schools in Hong Kong is rooted in that of our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle.

De La Salle realised that schools would be successful and stable only if the teachers were united by a common vision, a shared-mission dedication and a supportive community. He called this working "together and by association."

In the Lasallian vision for our schools, there will be:

1.
a profound reverence for each student as a unique person made in the image of God.
2.
a human and Christian ethos throughout the school
3.
a spirit of community throughout the school so that all feel they have a role to play.
4.
a determination to provide quality education for our students
5.
a sense of solidarity with the poor and a striving for justice and peace
6.
an atmosphere where all can grow in wisdom, age and grace
7.
a school community formed in reference to the story of John Baptist de La Salle

One summary of our vision is in the words of our Founder:
"To touch the hearts of your pupils and to inspire them with the Christian spirit is the greatest miracle you can perform."
